Why I chose Humber?
Humber offers a lot of hands on experience that is essential in the job market. The focus of education is not solely lecture based, and being able to utilize what I’ve learned in lecture in the lab is a great experience.
What surprised me the most about Humber
The number of social activities/events catered to every type of student population, and the ease of international integration.
The hardest thing about studying at Humber/in Canada:
Being away from family: however, that helped me learn to be more responsible and allowed me to gain experiences that made me realize that my success and growth is in my own hands.
My best experience since arriving at Humber:
Becoming involved with the International Student Centre. Through the centre, I’ve had the opportunity to meet a variety of people and to create a network of friends that will last a lifetime.
I would like to tell prospective students…
Get involved, whether through school activities or out of school associations. The years at college are those to be cherished and to get the most out of those years, focus on school, as well as make use of the variety of events and services offered at Humber College.
