I've been in a managerial position in the tourism sector since 1987. In 2003, I've decided to
enrol with PTC to read for an MBA at Leicester University.
I'm extremely grateful to the
lecturers of the PTC who provided considerable support to me. It was a fantastic experience,
fascinating as it led to a transformation of my work experience, where I explored my own objectives
in seeking a master's.
The availability of this part time and distance learning course made
pursuit of a qualification a realistic possibility for me as my commitment meant that full time
study was really not an option.

I studied the MBA at the University of Leicester from July 2002 to February 2005 under the
Distance Learning Programme through the Professional Training Centre of Mauritius. The MBA gave me
an opportunity to further my knowledge in Strategic Management and Finance.
It also enabled
me to acquire research, writing and other technical and analytical skills which have been very
useful as Senior Analyst at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Empowerment.
I was
awarded the prize of Best Student for highest academic achievement for the MBA Distance Learning in
2005. This was due to my personal commitment and hard work but also due to the valuable
contributionand support of the Professional Training Centre as facilitator and coordinator for the
Distance Learning Programme.

I graduated from the University of South Africa (UNISA) with a Bachelor of Administration in
2001. I am presently working as an Executive Officer in the government sector. I have been in the
Public Service since 1990 and have worked in different ministries and departments.

I am pleased to write a testimonial for PTC and I would first of all thank the staff for I have
always received a prompt and professional service.
I joined the PTC on the advice of a friend
who was a former successful student of the training center and I decided to embark on the BA (Hons)
in Accounting and Financial Management the year after that is the diet of October 2007. The course
itself was stimulating and challenging.
I would like to thank PTC for having given me the
opportunity to get a degree which is recognised worldwide while staying in my country.
However
to take the decision to go back to studies was not easy, at first I found it hard to cope with my
workload, fortunately I had a good friend who supported me as well as some tutors.

I have successfully completed my Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Management through
distance learning with RDI through PTC in Mauritius.
This course was valuable that I could
incorporate immediately into my present job. I benefited heavily from the education received by the
lecturers at PTC who have extensive professional and academic experience, as well as from the
practical case studies carried out in groups.
Also, at PTC everything is done to make the
